Senior Director of Model Risk Governance

Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate collaboration with senior management and colleagues in business and staff functions across the enterprise in the development, review and revision of model risk policies, procedures and standards.
Coordinates program plan and schedule for subject matter expert reviews and oversight of model governance, model identification, model use and model controls in the first line of defense.
Design and coordinate program for monitoring of model risk policy requirements and related metrics, escalate breeches, and manage exceptions.
Design and deliver training to partners on policies, procedures, standards and systems.
Own, maintain and enhance the model inventory and findings repository tool for any sized project.
Provide operational support, data gathering, and report preparations to MRM validation team.
Evaluate, implement, and maintain technology solutions to support MRM governance and validation needs for the enterprise.
Provide leadership, mentoring and development to direct reports; deliver timely feedback/coaching and formal performance review discussions; assess employee professional growth/career opportunities and collaborate on development plans.
Provide guidance to indirect reports and other members of the team.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in model risk management or similar regulatory or compliance program in banking or insurance.
Previous people leadership experience.
Proven ability to apply both strategic and analytic techniques to provide business solutions and recommendations.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Proven success in communicating complex information to senior management in a compelling fashion.
Effective at executing deliverables in a timely manner using MS Office tools.
Strong Project Management and Program Management skills and experience.
Strong collaboration & influencing skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree
Familiar with SR 11-7/OCC 2011-12.
