The Role:
The Assistant Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Services (AVCES) will join our team at a critical point in the continued evolution of the college and the Indianapolis campus specifically. This Assistant Vice Chancellor will report directly to the campus Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Services (VCES) and will be focused on strengthening relationships with collegiate and K-12 educational institutions and community organizations; assisting the VCES with providing vision, leadership, coaching, and direction to all Enrollment Services staff, and partnering with their counterpart in Student Success, the Assistance Vice Chancellor for Student Success & Advocacy (AVCSSA), in support of strategies that drive student engagement, completion, and retention. The successful candidate will actively contribute to our goal of making Ivy Tech Indianapolis the place where the best people come together to do the best and most important work of their careers. Key Responsibilities:

The following is not to be construed as an exhaustive list.  Other duties logically associated with this position may be assigned.  All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards.

Under the guidance and direction of the VCES:

  • Provide vision, leadership, coaching, and direction to all enrollment management staff (Express Enrollment Center, Financial Aid, Student Records, Admissions/Recruitment, and other departments as may be assigned) for the delivery of enrollment management initiatives.
  • Design and implement an enrollment services plan to successfully meet the campus-level metrics for revenue-generating enrollment, leading to completion, and retention, which includes systematic and efficient recruitment of prospects and applicants, and their successful conversion to enrolled status.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive enrollment management plan which includes recruitment and outreach initiatives developed in collaboration with Assistant Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs (AVCAA) school Deans, Program Chairs, and as applicable the Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs (VCSS).
  • Develop and implement intentional and inclusive recruitment initiatives aligned with the College’s strategic plan and in coordinate with the Systems Office.
  • Collaborate with campus and systems level leadership to foster relationships with K-12, workforce, and other community partners; develop an inclusive and safe environment that promotes and values diversity; and to meet the needs of the Campus and College in the execution of the College mission and vision.
  • Establish a system of communication aligned with Systems Office effort with prospects, inquiries, applicants, and registered students that builds strong and lasting relationships, ensuring consistency with existing statewide recruitment and retention efforts.
  • Develop a contact management recruitment strategy that utilizes the client relationships management tool (CRM), social networking and other forms of communication to recruit students, ensuring consistent efforts with other ongoing statewide outreach initiatives.
  • Prepare and submit short- and long-range lead generation and conversion goals as part of the overall strategic planning process; monitors outcomes and analyzes data for continuous improvement.
  • Provide real-time recruitment/conversion reports consistent with those shared with college leadership at other campuses and Systems Office.
  • Oversee the development and administration of budgets for each functional area and determines priorities for expenditures.
  • Serve as a model for strong leadership, develops and supports the service area culture of team collaboration and commitment to delivering high quality services and outcomes by being student- and employee-centered.
