KBR’s Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) group is looking for an Electrical Walkdown Completions Coordinator to support the multi-billion-dollar Plaquemines project developing a Liquid Natural Gas export facility when fully developed will have an export capacity of up to 20 million metric tonnes per year.  The facility’s location is about 20 miles south of New Orleans.  This project is expected to be a multi-phase project spanning two years.

Aligning with KBR’s commitment to sustainability, the 630-acre site located on the Mississippi River provides deep-water access without the need for dredging, allowing for an expedited environmentally friendly development process.

**Project entitlements available for those who qualify**

The Electrical Walkdown Completions Coordinator will participate in electrical audits to facilitate the turnover of systems and sub-systems associated with electrical components for the Plaquemines facility.  This project comprises a 700MW Combine Cycle Power Plant, Pretreatment Units, Utility Packages, Storage Tanks and Jetty facilities that are all interconnected via more than 30 Electrical Substations with Voltages ranging from 138kV to 480V.  Reports to and takes direction from the PC&CSO Electrical Completions Manager.

 Responsibilities:

• Assist in the day-to-day Electrical Completions activities related to all the electrical equipment on site (e.g., switchgears, generators, UPS systems and electric motors)
• Participate in regular progress and coordination meetings with the Completions Manager
• Ensure that the Inspection and Test Records and the PC & CSO Electrical Completions ITR’s are filled out and signed in a timely manner
• Provide Electrical Support to the RFC/RFSU Walk-down Coordinators
• Responsible for the Electrical Safe Practices and follow-up with dedicated electrical toolboxes to enhance Electrical Safety Culture.
• Provide progress updates to the Completions Manager

Experience & Skills:

• General understanding of the construction of GIS equipment (138kV or higher) and of MV and LV switchgears
• Ability to read and understand P&ID’s, electrical one-lines, and technical documents
• Must have worked electrical completions on large (multi-billion $) projects:  Oil & Gas Projects are a plus
• Proven ability to organize electrical completion walkdowns and inspections
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and MS Project

Additional Qualifications:

• Must qualify to perform Electrical and I&C walkdowns/inspections by the State of Louisiana
• Valid TWIC Card
• In lieu of formal education 12 + years of progressive experience in electrical construction from technician to electrical completions
• Or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or related field & 4 + years of progressive electrical construction experience with average experience ranging from 6-10 years
• NFPA 70E (Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace) Certification/Training or equivalent
