Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Launch and Missile Defense Systems offers an excellent opportunity for a Staff Scrum Master – Lead Scrum Master (25-478) to join our team of skilled and diverse professionals. This role, based in Huntsville, AL, is vital in supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels.

This position does not provide relocation assistance and requires working on-site with no remote options.

Position Overview:

The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a vital component of the Missile Defense System. It provides a crucial operational platform that enables the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and tactical levels to systematically plan missile defense operations, monitor battle progress, and actively control networked sensors and weapon systems to meet global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC offers a layered missile defense capability, delivering an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It functions as a force multiplier by connecting, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations both worldwide and locally to enhance overall performance. Additionally, C2BMC plays a key role in all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the missile defense system's current and future capabilities.

This position will serve as Lead Scrum Master and provide Agile coaching for the Command and Control for Ballistic Missile Defense (C2BMC) Track Server (TS) Product Team. The ideal candidate will lead and mentor all TS scrum teams on Agile processes and practices, working closely with them and the Product Owner during iteration planning and execution to facilitate work breakdown, execution, and tracking. The candidate may also occasionally act as the TS Product Owner. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of Agile practices and experience delivering products in short sprints. They will engage with customers and leverage both oral and written communication skills to build strong relationships with stakeholders and team members. The primary focus of this position will be supporting the development and implementation of the plan to transition to Agile methodology, including creating processes, templates, artifacts, training materials, and lessons learned.
