In the Fashion Customer Experience (CX) Engineering team, we fulfill customer’s everyday fashion needs through engaging customer experience and deep customer understanding; one where the products in the parcel live up to the customer's expectations. We make this happen through customization and innovation to serve the unique needs of Zalando customers shopping core fashion categories. 

Our team is looking for a talented iOS Senior Software Engineer with React Native experience who has a strong customer-centric mindset and is passionate about developing high-quality applications with delightful customer experience. 

As an iOS Senior Software Engineer, you will join a team that works closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Software Engineers to fulfill fashion customers' needs through engaging and delightful customer experiences that blend inspiration, quality, entertainment, and seamless digital interaction. We build customer-facing features across the customer journey to help over 50 million customers across 25 markets find products they love, and buy products they keep, ultimately helping customers to make lasting purchases.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

• You will be part of an agile team where you will contribute to solution design, planning, development, delivery, and improving the customer experience for fashion customers across the Zalando Fashion Store application.

• You will collaborate closely with Product Management and Product Design to refine designs and functional requirements. You will create test cases to be verified during development and feature releases.

• You will act like an owner and take an active role in reducing ambiguity, understanding business requirements, and translating them into technical solutions and requirements. 

• You will contribute to the different parts of Zalando Fashion Store application while constantly aligning with your peers on the best practices and continuously improving development and delivery processes, and application architecture.

• Proactively suggest and implement improvements while driving the technical design of new features and architectural proposals to ensure scalability, testability, and maintainability.

• Participate in code reviews, adhere to best practices, and use feedback as an opportunity for growth.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest announcements from React Native community and Apple WWDC, as well as new iOS frameworks, tools, and technologies, to ensure development processes remain modern and efficient.

• Grow and share your expertise while actively supporting the growth and development of junior colleagues and peers both within and beyond your team.

•  You are an experienced iOS engineer (5+ years) who is eager to work with new technologies and always tries to challenge yourself and deliver high quality code.

• You have proven experience developing and shipping React Native applications.
