Why are we hiring?
Well, we’re growing and thriving. So, we need smart, talented, and humble people who share our values to join us as we disrupt the home security space and relentlessly pursue our mission of keeping Every Home Secure.
About the Role
SimpliSafe is investing in a multi-quarter Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) program to migrate our data and analytics stack onto a modern platform and stand up the architecture, governance, and operating model needed to support AI/ML, personalization, and data-driven decision-making at scale. We're looking for a Sr. Program Manager to run the day-to-day delivery of this program — coordinating vendors, engineering, governance, and business stakeholders across every phase, from platform build through migration and adoption.
What You'll Do
You will be responsible for the planning, execution, and oversight of the EDP program's complex, cross-functional workstreams from initiation to completion. You will directly report to the Sr. Director of Enterprise Data. You will work closely with engineering, architecture, governance, procurement, legal, and business teams to ensure the program is delivered on time, within budget, and in scope. The ideal candidate is resilient, comfortable owning ambiguity, and has a keen eye for detail — someone who can zoom into the mechanics of a single vendor contract one day and drive the multi-phase migration roadmap the next.
EDP Program Delivery
- Own end-to-end delivery of platform implementation — from vendor signature through onboarding, build, and phased migration — ensuring each phase lands on time, in scope, and within budget.
- Lead contract execution for platform and implementation vendors — partner with Procurement, Legal, and Finance to move MSAs, SOWs, and change orders from negotiation through signature, and track terms, deliverables, and payment milestones.
- Drive vendor onboarding — stand up new implementation partners and technology vendors from kickoff through steady-state delivery, including (not limited to) access provisioning, working agreements, and communication cadence.
- Manage phased migrations — sequence and execute the program's multi-phase migration from current-state infrastructure, through optimization, to the new platform, tracking cross-team dependencies, cutover readiness, rollback plans, and go/no-go criteria for each phase.
- Design and run the program's intake and prioritization process — build the mechanism for capturing, scoring, and sequencing new data and platform requests, then operate and evolve it as demand and priorities shift.
- Drive rollout of data models, architecture standards, and governance — partner with engineering and architecture to launch new data models and reference architecture, and stand up governance bodies (e.g., Steering Committee, Data Governance Council, Architecture Review Board), driving adoption across the business.
Core Program & Project Management
- Operate at both the project and program level — able to lead a single EDP workstream to completion (a vendor contract, a migration phase) and also run the multi-workstream program, managing interdependencies, aligning teams to shared outcomes, and balancing competing priorities across leaders.
- Develop comprehensive project and program plans with clear timelines, resource allocation, and critical milestones — at the right level of detail for each.
- Coordinate effectively across functions — including engineering, architecture, data governance, InfoSec, Procurement, Legal, Finance, and business stakeholders — acting as a central point of contact and ensuring clear communication, alignment, and timely action.
