Operations and Middle Office is one of the largest departments at Millennium. The Middle Office group consists of three inter-connected functions in the post-trade lifecycle: trade support, valuations, and business unit control. Middle Office supports all products traded within firm – ranging from simple listed equities to complex derivative products.

We have an exciting opportunity for a bright, dynamic candidate to join and help move the firm forward as part of our Business Unit Control Group. This position demands an outstanding ability to multi-task as well as an extraordinary sense of urgency. Responsibilities

• Operational processing and full trade life cycle management.
• Perform daily, monthly complex reconciliations independently.  
• Handle Trades and Cash all the way from post execution down to settlement.
• Trace a break’s lineage from cash to trade to position to P&L.
• Ensure to adhere quality SLA while performing reconciliations.
• Build and improve processes/workflows where appropriate.
• Liaise across the organization (Business and IT) for information and problem solving.
• Work with large data sets

Qualifications

• Preferably an Accounting, Finance or Operations Background.
• Experience with a portfolio accounting systems, SS&C Geneva preferred. 
• Knowledge of fund accounting concepts / processes.
• Experience with Geneva
• Excellent organization and time management skills with ability to prioritize work and function with minimal guidance.
• Strategic thinker and Problem Solver.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Good understanding of Capital Market, Hedge Fund and Financial Instruments.
• Strong analytical skills and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Solid understanding of a wide range of financial products. Equity, Fixed Income, Derivatives and FX Markets.
• Excellent Excel skills needed, SQL abilities a plus.
• Working knowledge of Gresham recon tool is desirable.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $160,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. Millennium pays a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual’s experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.
