Sewer Maintenance Lead Technician

Atakapa Services, LLC. (A Waggoner Company) specializes in evaluating, maintaining and designing rehabilitation methods for sanitary sewer and storm drain infrastructure. We work with municipalities, wastewater utility contractors and engineering firms to inspect, clean, and rehabilitate their underground wastewater and drainage infrastructure. We provide a comprehensive range of services and reports to help our clients address the most complex sewer and storm drain operation and maintenance problems.
The Maintenance Lead Technician will travel extensively performing manhole inspections, smoke tests, flow monitoring and potentially other SSES roles. Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, officials, and all members of the general public using excellent client service skills. 

Responsibilities

• This position will require extensive travel
• Performing manhole inspections - recording various structure attributes and identifying defects.
• Smoke Testing - conduct smoke tests and record defects encountered.
• Flow Monitoring - install & maintain open channel flow metering equipment.

What you'll need

• Must be willing to travel extensively.
• Graduated High School/GED 
• SSES experience - specifically performing manhole inspections and smoke tests.
• Flow monitoring experience is a plus.
• Considerable knowledge of public works inspection methods.
• Considerable skill in reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans and specifications.
• Ability to prepare, organize and maintain inspection field and office data, reports and systems.
• Speak and write fluently in English.
• Strong writing, reading, listening and speaking communications skills.
• Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Self-motivated and resourceful, with the proven ability to multi-task and operate successfully under tight deadlines and time pressures.
• Enjoys a fast pace, dynamic, challenging and team-oriented work environment.
