Job Description
Brightspeed is searching for a Warehouse Coordinator to join our team! As a Warehouse Coordinator, you will be responsible for maintaining the garage/storeroom.
As a Warehouse Coordinator your responsibilities will include:
- Ordering, receiving, and putting away materials on shelves, and locations within the garage/storeroom
- Receiving, verifying, processing goods receipts in SAP, consolidating and staging all materials for Network & BMG jobs
- Keeping storeroom and garage well organized and clean
- Checking caged areas and making sure they are clean, neat and orderly
- Ordering minor material via CART, SAP or ARIBA
- Analyzing orders/receipts and report errors including overages, shortages, and damages on all network material
- Arranging and coordinating material pick up utilizing telephone or email
- Effectively communicating and resolving problems with technicians, managers, and contractors
- Identifying and redirecting lost or misdirected shipments
- Providing back up support for other Warehouse Attendants as needed
Qualifications
WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:
- Ability to perform strenuous physical activity not limited to lifting/moving 100 lbs. loading and unloading reels in excess of 8,000 lbs.
- Must satisfy Brightspeed and OSHA requirements to be certified as an operator on several types of material handling equipment, including various sizes and types of forklifts
- Ability to input data in spreadsheets, word docs and send as email attachment
- Ability to complete training and demonstrate proficiency utilizing ordering systems including SAP and CART
- Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record
- Ability to drive a company vehicle as required by the needs of the business
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor locations with temperature conditions ranging due to cold and hot seasons of local weather
- Ability to access overhead shelving using stepladders
BONUS POINTS FOR:
- Experience and knowledge of material and tools used by network technicians
- Knowledge of Cable and Fiber Material
- Knowledgeable and experienced in identifying Construction materials
- Knowledgeable of Electrostatic Discharge Handling (ESC) Process
This position is part of a bargaining unit and represented by a union. Depending upon the applicable collective bargaining agreement under which you may be hired, you may be: (a) required to join the union and pay union dues as a condition of employment; or, (b) required to pay union dues, but not join the union as a condition of employment; or (c) free to choose whether to join the union, but if you do join the union you would be obligated to pay union dues.
