To keep up with the geographical expansion of the responsibilities, the fast pace of ASML and the increasing security threats, we are searching for a new team member. The Physical Security Compliance Specialist will be based at our factory location in Wilton Connecticut with a focus on Physical Security systems (e.g. Access Control / Video Surveillance / Intrusion Detection) and Physical Security Operations (e.g. security guarding / physical security control rooms) on ASML locations in the assigned region. To support the growth of ASML the Physical Security field of work was restructured with a clear demarcation between Physical Security execution (1st line) and Physical Security compliance (2nd line). During the transition period you will perform both 1st and 2nd line activities.
The Physical Security Compliance team is part of the Risk and Business Assurance (RBA) Physical Security team and reports to the CISO in RBA department. Together and with a no-nonsense attitude we are covering the whole world with respect to work-life balance. We are an informal team that supports personal growth, training on the job and regular education.
Role and responsibilities
- Design security plans according to ASML standards support implementation and commissioning.
- Contribute to manage and life cycle of policies, technical standards and baselines in the field of work;
- Create physical security plans for ASML locations in the US, including testing and commissioning;
- Perform assessments on locations on the implemented measures Access Control / Video Surveillance / Intrusion Detection and operations.
- Document assessment results, follow up and report on progress on needed improvements to the stakeholders;
- Actively participate in giving guidance and advice on the field of work to all relevant stakeholders ranging from factory directors to project managers;
- Ensure ASML complies with security policies, procedures and legal requirements in the field of work;
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of the physical security policy framework.
- Responsible for the planning and execution of Physical Security Assessments according to the determined interval as agreed in the Physical Security Standard and making sure that all applicable ASML locations in the applicable region are assessed according to the schedule.
- Supporting the internal and/or external Audit team(s) in the preparation, execution and follow up of the periodic Physical Security audits.
- Ensure continuous alignment and coordination between all stakeholders involved in the Physical Security Compliance journey. Both within the Security Teams and within the rest of the company, becoming a trusted partner working and influencing cross-functionally.
- Contribute to the risk scoping process.
- Contributing to the continues development and improvement of the reporting process.
- Responsible for keeping the compliancy database up to date.
- Provide expertise, insight and guidance in the applicable field of work.
- Being responsible for updating stakeholders on the progress of activities and findings with reports, meetings and presentations and escalating significant findings to the Physical Security Compliance manager.
- Periodically reporting to the Physical Security Compliance manager about the areas of responsibility.
- Contributing to the setup, periodic maintenance and update of the Physical Security Processes, supervising and ensuring smooth execution.
- Actively encourage sharing of knowledge and collaboration in the 2nd line Physical Security Team.
- Contributing to the Physical Security knowledge management, keeping the policies and standards up to date, including setting up and updating Physical Security requirements, baselines and other relevant documents.
Education and experience
- Bachelor degree (in security management) or an equivalent years of working experience.
- Demonstrably experience in executing high quality assessments / auditing, documenting, reporting and follow up;
- Demonstrably experience / in-depth knowledge of Genetec video surveillance system and Prowatch access control;
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in physical security projects e.g. as an engineer or project manager;
- Demonstrably stakeholder management skills in various management layers;
- Fluent English (written and verbal)
