dormakaba is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer Intern to join our Summer 2025 Rising Talent Program in Indianapolis, IN!

 

The Embedded Software Engineer Intern will work on projects involving automated test systems, programming, and general electronics, including component integration and innovative testing solutions. The intern will also gain hands-on experience with 3D printing and AI integration to enhance product development and testing processes.

The summer consists of weekly business Lunch and Learn sessions, community volunteer activities, and team building events with peers and senior leadership!

 

HIRING SALARY RANGE: Hourly Salary $21-$25 per hour (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

 

Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Gather data and analyze the business challenges alongside subject matter experts. Drive evidence-based decision-making that helps design a new process.
• Schedule routine check-in meetings with your supervisor to monitor the advancement of assigned projects.
• Attend weekly lunch and learn sessions where you will get to learn more about a business topic of the week! Some examples of past topics include: Top 10 Presentation Skills, Environmental Health and Safety, StrengthsFinder, etc.
• Deep dive into data and use evidence-based decision making that helps design a new process, introduce new technology, re-imagines the way we collaborate, or positively influences our culture.
• Sit in on meetings both within and beyond your designated role to broaden your engagement.
• Collaborate with other interns on projects.

 

WHAT WE REQUIRE

• Pursing a bachelor’s or master’s degree with anticipated graduation date in December 2025 through Spring 2028
• Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week for 10-12 weeks (May-August 2025)
