Job Description

The Manager, Data Operations and Reporting will work with cross-functional teams across the world and external partners to deliver investment and competitive reporting and support global media operation functions.

The role requires a strong knowledge of media, and the ability to apply business and media understanding against the reporting and operational deliverables. 

They will work closely with the Director to establish project deliverables and will be able to aid a geographically dispersed team to align on a clear understanding of the deliverables - that revolve around media (online & offline) data - and drive them to successful completion.

This role also holds the responsibility to be able to analyze data and understand media trends & implications, and have a proactive and inquisitive mindset with the analyzed data & trends – likes to ask the “why?”.

What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee as well as work directly in the collection, classification/mapping, aggregation, QA and reporting of Investment and competitive media data across 70+ markets.
  • Manage a geographically dispersed team for data governance and compliance.
  • Collaborate with Data Analytics team in enhancement of reporting dashboards.
  • Work directly in large datasets, having a strong attention to detail in effort to ensure accuracy in the data
  • Identify, assess, and implement strategic operational capabilities with the ability to detect and translate a story behind numbers/data.
  • Analyze data collection to develop media insights from market media data and industry trends
  • Engaging with multiple teams across the globe to gain understanding of media landscape and specific data context

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in media operations, media data analysis and/or project management preferably in a media agency or advertising agency
  • Strong understanding and experience with media channels – especially digital (ex: understands Programmatic, OLV/CTV, SEM, Social, - and the main partners/publishers/platforms in the space)
  • Someone who understands at a conceptual level - the full process of media strategy & activation
  • Proactive communicator – someone who is comfortable working with many team leads and staying on top of many communications on a day-to-day basis; someone who will proactively ask questions and seek answers
  • An effective communicator – able to write clearly, speak professionally, and translate data analysis into insights that can be acted upon by strategists, planners, and buyers alike
  • Comfort with working with large sets of media data – able to identify discrepancies in data sets. Able to reclassify and/or map values in data to follow custom account classification guidelines
  • Understanding the purpose and value of taxonomies in data
  • Technical Skills: Moderate/Proficient skill in Excel (Pivot Tables, Vlookups, etc)
  • Knowledge of media billings and buying tools a plus
