PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The hiring range for this position is: $23.31-$29.14/Hourly

OVERVIEW OF POSITION / DEPARTMENT
The Administrative Specialist (Financial Support) provides complex accounting, administrative, clerical, technical support and public contact work for the Housing and Community Services Department.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Complete routine accounting tasks such as creation of invoices, reimbursement of travel expenses, and accounts payable
Work with County Tax Assessor offices to record liens, release liens and process our annual tax special assessments for the abatement process and housing inspections
Maintains, modifies, and updates database information for specialized division functions
Provides support for meetings; coordinate agendas, meeting back-up, transcribe minutes
Schedule appointments and meetings using Outlook with ability to make various travel arrangements
Provides administrative support to a variety of committees and commissions as assigned
Responds to inquiries from the general public, department divisions, mortgage companies and members of commissions and committees via email and telephone
Operates a variety of office equipment including personal computer with varied software
Mailing of documents and research of received or returned mail
Performs additional duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & WORKING CONDITIONS
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
