Principal SRO Engineer

About the role:

As a Principal SRO Engineer you will work on the new generation of reactors like the AP300 SMR and eVinci microreactor, the new fleet of AP1000® and the operating fleet from all over the world. Building your skills based on actual operating plant experience combined with advanced plant design will be a major accelerator for your career in the nuclear industry.  You will report to the Senior Manager, Engineering, Competency Development & Nuclear Operations and be located at our Cranberry Township, PA location. Hybrid Work Schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Our operations team collaborates with plant designers and system engineers to define the best and safest way to operate nuclear plants.·

• You will use your knowledge about integrated plant operations to update the way control room operators run plants with operating procedures.·

• You will then validate multiple scenarios in control room simulators, before they are implemented in plants worldwide.·

• Your scope will include the operating fleet (worldwide) and the next generation of nuclear plants (AP1000s, SMRs and microreactors), giving you learning and development opportunities in both worlds

Qualifications:

• Someone who held an SRO/RO operator license or was a qualified SRO/RO instructor or someone with new plant testing role (preop and startup testing). Prior operating procedure writing experience will be favorably considered.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering

• 5+ years relevant work experience
