Salary/Position Classification

• 12.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
• 5-10 hours per week 
• 100% Remote Work Availability: No

Purpose of Position

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of North Dakota invites applications for a part-time temporary researcher assistant in Mechanical Engineering to work under the supervision of Dr. Gupta. The position is open to high school as it involves data analysis and optical microscopy.
The appointment is expected to begin sometime during the fall 2024 academic semester.

Duties & Responsibilities

• This is an entry-level position for high school students to help with data analysis and microstructure analysis. 

Required Competencies

• Excellent Organizational skills
• Excellent communication, recording, reporting and presentation skills

Minimum Requirements

• Entry-level position for high school students
• Student has done optical microscopy
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
