Sherpa 6 has an exciting opportunity for a fast-learning and highly driven Systems Integrator / Project Coordinator to join our team. The Program Executive Office (PEO) Soldier Project Coordinator (PC) works directly for Nett Warrior leadership by serving as a project lead supporting equipment evaluations, new equipment training, and new equipment fielding. The PC is also expected to coordinate training and evaluation events between Army acquisitions, vendors, and the end users and facilitate coordinating the appropriate resources for each event. This position will reside on-site with the Government and will serve as the conduit between end user leadership and PEO leadership to ensure the government is effective in maximizing opportunities to accomplish assigned tasks in support of Army warfighters.
A Sr. Systems Integrator / Project Coordinator at this level will be expected to understand the acquisitions process requirements development, Decision Support Systems, Life Cycle Integration, System of Systems, and Joint and International programs. The PC will also assist with forging stakeholder relationships, synchronizing project support teams, and managing priorities and deadlines.
As a Senior Systems Integrator / Project Coordinator who is often co-located with the end users, the PC will serve as a Subject Matter Expert for systems engineering and integration, communications, and soldier power equipment. Project coordinators are expected to have excellent oral and written communication skills and must be able to manage projects, schedules, and prepare briefings both internally to fellow employees and management and externally to the customer. Since this customer’s portfolio is large and often changing, the PC will be expected to stay abreast of the current and future efforts and seek information from their team of experts as well as academia to ensure they are making educated recommendations for technology maturation and transition.
Daily Tasks:
- Attend daily meetings and advises at the O-4 through O-7 and government civilians.
- Participate in IPTs across PEO Solders, ASA(ALT), DEVCOMs, Army Futures Command, USMC and USSOCOM.
- Create and brief Schedules, CONOPs, EXSUMs, and facilitate test activities.
- Capture customer priorities, pain points and feedback; communicate both directions.
- Lead projects that are assigned by PEO Soldier and subordinate program management.
- Communicate customer priorities internal to the company and advise or collaborate with Project and Functional Managers of how we can best support.
- Develop and maintain continuity of all project efforts, documentation, and methodologies for transitioning technologies or solutions within the program.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4 Years College Education.
- 5-10+ years of experience in combat arms, communication, or 4 years of DoD experience with a degree in an engineering discipline.
- Knowledge of PEO Portfolio.
- Proven Problem-Solving Skills.
- Critical Thinking Skills.
- Proven background and experience with senior leader engagements to read, write, and brief at the corporate level.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project).
- Must be a US citizen.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
Preferred Experience:
- Graduate degree.
- 15+ years relevant military experience in C4I employment, maintenance, and training.
- 10 years of Special Operations experience.
- Experience in PEO Soldier.
- Strong Communication and Presentation Skills.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills.
- Strategic Thinker.
