Ventus Solutions is seeking a Delivery Assurance Specialist with expertise in metal casting. This immediate opportunity is ideal for a someone experienced in addressing challenges in manufacturing, supply chain and quality assurance with a focus on large-scale castings. The selected candidate will be part of a fly-away team performing on-site quality assurance (QA) at manufacturing facilities. This role is vital for ensuring the quality and integrity of metal castings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, casting processes, non-destructive testing, and the capability to collaborate with multiple departments to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to specification Work Location: Remote with field assignments as needed.Travel: >90%
Required Experience
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing and supply chain management, with a focus on industrial and maritime industries.
- Expertise in large casting processes, including gating and tooling.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex manufacturing and supply chain issues.
- Experience with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or industrial sectors, managing diverse stakeholders effectively.
- Strong proficiency in Key Performance Indicators (KPI) management, Lean methodologies and shop floor collaboration.
- Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and material/production planning.
Desired Experience
- Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain.
- Maritime or shipbuilding industry experience.
- Knowledge of cost reduction techniques, such as Should Cost or Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) methodologies.
- Secret Security Clearance
- Certification in Non-Destructive Testing Methods
