About the team + role

We are seeking a skilled computer vision specialist to play a pivotal role in developing a robust ID/selfie verification system designed to detect fraud and improve the customer experience. This position is essential to our business, ensuring the security and trust of our platform. The ideal candidate will be deeply passionate about addressing emerging challenges in fraud detection, such as combating Deepfakes and AI-generated images, and will thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. You will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative solutions to mitigate evolving fraud risks while contributing to the overall success of our mission to protect customers

What you’ll do

  • Develop and deploy brand-new computer vision models to improve product functionalities and user experiences.
  • Design and implement machine learning systems to address various challenges and opportunities within the financial sector.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful data-driven solutions.
  • Build and refine production-grade models using large-scale datasets, employing statistical modeling, machine learning, and data mining techniques.
  • Drive innovation by combining knowledge from several research domains to solve sophisticated problems.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and design teams to cultivate user engagement and business development.

What you bring

  • Proven expertise in computer vision, with a strong portfolio of successful implementations.
  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python (numpy, scipy, pandas) or R. or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
  • Strong analytical skills and a passion for solving complex problems.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey data-driven insights to diverse collaborators.
  • An approach that fosters collaboration and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • 4+ years of professional experience as a Data Scientist.
  • Demonstrated experience in a research setting, either academic or commercial.
