Service Provider Principal Engineer

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, IT, or a related field (preferred).
• CCIE certification or equivalent expertise.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in telecom engineering, particularly in data centers or central offices.
• 5+ years in a technical leadership role.
• Proven experience in:
• Telcordia/Bellcore standards application
• Fiber optic installation, testing, and troubleshooting
• DC power systems, including battery plants and rectifiers
• Supervising vendors/contractors
• Using OTDRs, power meters, fault locators
• Electrical theory and power system design
• Reading technical specs, schematics, and plans
• Strong interpersonal and coaching skills.
• Proficiency in enterprise-wide technologies and tools.
• Ability to present effectively to senior executives.
• Self-starter with a positive attitude and leadership qualities.
• Domestic travel up to 5-10%.
