The Gravity Haus Senior Accountant is responsible for the performance of accounting-related duties and will work closely with the Manager of Accounting, Controllers, SVP of Finance & Accounting and CFO to achieve organizational goals. In our fast paced and ever-growing business the Senior Accountant will be able to adapt to change and operate with a positive can-do attitude.

You’ll draw on your skills and experience, including problem solving know-how, to help us refine our accounting and financial statement preparation. Reporting to the Manager of Accounting, you’ll work closely with the finance, accounting and operations teams to execute, streamline and create efficiencies in the company’s approach to all things finance and accounting with a goal of providing accurate and useful information to company leadership and investors.

What You’ll Do…
- General ledger journal entries to record monthly activity
- Partner with the operations and operating partners to support the evaluation of property performance through financial analysis
- Own account reconciliation preparation and review across multiple properties and accounts with a focus on real-time processing to ensure accurate and complete month end balances
- Assist with the monthly close process including owning specific accounts and activities to support timely financial statement preparation and other related finance projects.
- Leverage and develop an in depth understanding of all points of sale for various lines of businesses to support the recording, review, and publishing of financial statements
- Facilitate accounts payable invoice, payment processing and review
- Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
- State and local operational tax filings
- Support and assist the processing of biweekly, multi-state payroll with payroll partner including balancing and reconciling all payroll figures.
- Assist with the filing and maintenance of contracts, leases and other legal and financial records.
- Support the audit processes through the preparation and submission of requested deliverables

Education and Experience…
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- A minimum of four years in accounting and finance experience is preferred.
- CPA or progress towards completing is preferred.
- Previous experience working with Sage Intacct or similar software is desirable.
- Work experience in the hospitality industry is strongly preferred specifically in the hotel and restaurant industries.
