Summary:

Join our IT Infrastructure Architecture team to support the global organization in the evaluation, design, and implementation of our network technologies. As a leader in the IT Infrastructure Architecture team, you will design and guide improvements in our network, while continually improving performance, security, and resilience.

Responsibilities:

• Assess business and application requirements for corporate data and voice networks
• Plan, design, document, and implement network installation and expansion projects in collaboration with other architecture and engineering teams
• Set documentation standards and lead their adoption as appropriate.
• Evaluate new technologies, understand their benefits and how they fit within the scope of environment.
• Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships. 
• Data Center technologies and inter-connectivity
• AWS networking and other cloud technologies
• Requirements driven Architecture working with cross-functional teams
• SD-WAN background, preferably Aruba/SilverPeak
• Strong security focus and every level of networking component including Palo Alto, SD-WAN, wireless, and zero-trust security.
• Provide mentoring and guidance to junior network engineers on the team
• Assist in troubleshooting severe network issues, finding root cause, and recommending improvements

 

Qualifications:

• 12+  years experience in Network Engineering and Architecture
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other related field
• Deep understanding of relevant LAN, WAN, Wireless, SD-WAN technologies.  Strong interest in new technologies entering the marketplace.
• Expertise in firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, DHCP, TCP/IP, DNS, and device configuration and maintenance.
• Experience with Silverpeak, Palo Alto, Cisco, and Aruba preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills—you clearly express your thoughts in both written and oral presentation.
• Adept at working both collaboratively as a leader, and individual
• Demonstrate ownership of designs and results
• Familiar with ITILv4, specifically Incident and Change Management
• Experience working with Agile project methodologies and framework
• Strong routing background with Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)

Associated to any US Qorvo location

Less than 10% on-site / travel required.

Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $160,500 - $208,700, relevant for the California Bay Area (subject to change dependent on physical location)
