Engineering Technician

·       Support engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modification, integration and assembly of Army surveillance systems and subsystems which may include computer systems, radio sets, power distribution systems, etc.

·       Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.

·       Assist with development and reviews of technical documentation (e.g., operator manuals, maintenance manuals, plans, procedures, et. al.) for Army systems.

·       Collect, maintain, organize, compile, and manipulate technical data.

·       Communicate with leadership, other members of the team, and the customer to ensure a common understanding of requirements, status, action items, issues, etc.

·       Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

·       Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.

·       Must be a U.S. citizen.

·       Able to travel 25% of the time to Army locations CONUS and OCONUS

·       Mechanically inclined: experienced and comfortable with disassembling and assembling subassemblies.  Familiarity with subsystems typically found in communications platforms such as computers, radios, electrical distribution, electronics, etc.

·       Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

·       Able to work effectively within a team of technicians, engineers, and technical writers.
