Reports to: Production Supervisor Department: Maintenance Job Profile: JP00599 Job Status: Full Time / Salary Mobility Profile: On Location Position Summary: Utilize leadership abilities to ensure smooth production within the specified area of the facility. Manages the Maintenance Department of the facility. Also provides technical support by training and troubleshooting any issues that arise. Duties / Responsibilities: • Organizing and coordinating personnel, functions and actives of all team members in the mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fabrication shop, mobile equipment fleet vehicles (forklifts and minor repairs on DOT trucks), building and grounds maintenance, milling equipment and truss presses. • Leadership by communication and adherence of company policies and rules. • Responsible for the productivity of the Maintenance team. • Initiates Continuous Improvement programs. • Provides technical support by training and troubleshooting to maintenance and manufacturing personnel. • Ensures that all department safety practices are followed. Maintains good employee relations. • Should have a fluent knowledge of Electronics, PLC’s and Drives • Interprets operational manuals, manufacturer’s specifications, blueprints and schematics for manufacturing and auxiliary equipment. • Provides guidance and shares knowledge on electrical, hydraulic, pneumatics, machining and fabrication. • Assigns and supervises daily work schedules of department personnel. • Create and Manages PM, Work order system, spare part inventory program and tracks results • Remains current on all OSHA, Arc Flash, and LO/TO procedures and updates as required • Leads and directs around-the-clock activities of subordinates, clarifying and coordinating tasks and providing the individual coaching and support needed to keep team members committed to achievement of defined goals. • Responsible for maintaining a high standard of housekeeping practices in all areas under his supervision including the paved areas of the yard. • Manages a vendor base to ensure quality repair and maintenance materials availability while minimizing costs and maintaining the highest of service levels to the plant. Includes operating supplies, repair and maintenance support and services. • Manages storeroom supplies related to building and equipment maintenance/upkeep. • Manages procurement activity of repair and maintenance goods and services via requisitions. • Performs any other function as deemed necessary by Management. • Keeps day to day functions fluid while upholding the ISO 140001 environmental standards. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • 2-4 years’ prior experience in management-level role. • Prior experience in manufacturing maintenance preferred. • Strong communication, analytical and reasoning skills. • Strong interpersonal skills / ability to get along with diverse personalities. • Able to function in a fast-paced environment. Physical Demands: • Must be able to push, pull, bend, and lift at least 50 lbs. • Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person. Must be able to exchange accurate information with others. • Work environment is not temperature-controlled, exposure to extreme temperatures is possible. • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
