World Relief seeks a Case Aide for a temporary position to assist with an increase in refugee arrivals. The Case Aide will assist caseworkers and other Refugee Programs staff with securing basic needs for clients, transporting clients to their appointments, and administrative tasks as needed.
This role will be mostly out of the Appleton, WI office but may need to travel between offices at some point.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Greet refugee clients at the airport upon arrival and provide transportation to their new home
  • Visit clients in their homes to assess their well-being and determine current needs
  • Grocery shop and obtain other needed household items that have not been donated in anticipation of arriving refugee clients and once clients have already arrived
  • Assist with move-ins when volunteers are not available
  • Transport clients to essential appointments such as medical appointments, ELL program registration, school registration for children, community clothing closets, etc.
  • Assist clients in opening bank accounts
  • Report on client needs to other Refugee Programs staff during regular collaborative case management meetings
  • Compile paperwork needed for home visits
  • Put together Welcome Binders given to clients upon arrival
  • Record all client interactions and progress in case notes utilizing online databases
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Ability to communicate effectively cross-culturally, both with clients and diverse team
  • Fluent in Arabic, Dari, Kinyarwanda, Spanish, Swahili, or Ukrainian, preferred
