Core Functions:

  • Provide consultation and art direction to university constituents.
  • Fulfill institution-wide graphic design and production requests.
  • Assist the full-time Graphic Designer.
  • Create media and content for publications, including blogs, websites, and related material.
  • Demonstrate expertise and communicate to others the University’s brand, style, voice, guidelines, and appropriate use.
  • Assist in monitoring the usage of university logos and brand.
  • Create brand-consistent logos for departmental, programmatic, and other specialty uses.
  • Identify opportunities to improve or enhance brand use and recommend solutions.
  • Assist in designing university apparel and swag.

Background/Expertise:

  • Understanding of marketing, production, website design, brand identity, advertisements, and multimedia design.
  • Proficiency with required Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Able to give and receive constructive feedback.
  • Strong time-management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Able to coordinate and direct projects.
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Strong eye for visual composition.
  • Possess a solid understanding of effective marketing techniques.
  • Ability to use related hardware and software (e.g., Google Suite, databases, social media analytic tools).
  • Expert in creativity and design.
  • Photography and videography skills are a plus.
