IP Behavioral Intake Assessment Coordinator

Overview

The Behavioral Health intake assessment coordinator, in conjunction with the Behavioral health Director will coordinate referral development and pre-admission patient process to the Behavioral health unit. This role will address consult calls for psychiatric providers, coordinate care of behavioral health referrals with providers, assign patients to providers, expedite the admission process to the behavioral unit and improve referral base to the behavioral unit. Responsible for expediting IVC or voluntary paperwork from ED’s to charge nurse on Behavioral Health unit for admission and ED throughput.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing or other related field is preferred
• Must be a licensed RN, LPC or LMSW
• Minimum one-three years of experience in a similar position and/or industry
