Pratt and Whitney has an exciting new opportunity for an Employee and Labor Relations – Senior Analyst!

What You Will Do:

  • Administer collective bargaining agreement for assigned employee population.
  • Ensure staffing, employee relations, labor-management partnerships, and all collective bargaining processes for hourly union-represented population are carried out in compliance with contract provisions and in support of business goals.
  • Assist or lead employee relations investigations and recommendations for appropriate disciplinary action for verified violations.
  • Negotiate resolutions to contractual grievances in accordance with the grievance procedure and the collective bargaining agreement.
  • Train, coach and assist supervisors and managers on all areas of the collective bargaining agreement including grievance resolution, overtime administration, attendance management, performance management, employee relations, promotions, compensation, shift reallocations, and interviewing and hiring.
  • Assist team with hiring process, including leading Super Day recruiting events, as necessary, to ensure organizational staffing needs are met.
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with union representatives to facilitate collaborative environment within which to resolve issues.
  • Provide strategic counsel to management team to ensure compliance with the collective bargaining agreement.
  • Support collective bargaining process.
  • Address HR-related inquiries from employees. 
  • Leverage process improvement/lean manufacturing tools and methodology to align with business needs.
  • Lead and support special projects as assigned, including providing support to other team members for certain work streams, e.g. job posting and surveying.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Labor Relations, Organizational Development, Psychology or a related field and 2+ years of relevant experience; OR an Advanced degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Labor Relations, Organizational Development, Psychology or a related field.  

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • MBA or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Labor Relations, Organizational Development, Psychology, or a related field
  • A proven track record of leading change
  • Experience with administration of a collective bargaining agreement and its grievance procedure
  • Experience communicating clear and effective messages (written and verbal) to a broad audience
  • Proven customer focused experience and excellent business judgment.
  • Ability to influence without direct supervisory responsibilities
  • Experience with handling confidential information with professional maturity and integrity
  • Strong analytical and systems skills
  • Demonstrated experience with Project Management
  • Experience with solving dynamic problems and crafting solutions to everyday challenges with creative new ideas
