The Manager of Enterprise Risk Management will be responsible for supporting the company’s Enterprise Risk Management program, helping to operationalize the risk management framework and embedding it into day-to-day business operations. This position will work closely with the first and second lines of defense across the organization in identifying, assessing and responding to financial, operational, technology, strategic and compliance risks. As the Manager of Enterprise Risk Management at Fluence, you will:

  • Support the implementation of the risk management program to the front-lines in a manner that fulfills the mission and strategic goals of the organization.
  • Facilitate ongoing enterprise risk assessments to address high-risk areas within the company’s corporate and regional operations.
  • Identify and document risks, make recommendations that strengthen controls and improve processes, and collaborate with stakeholders on risk mitigation action plans.
  • Use data mining results, statistical analysis and other techniques to assess the effectiveness of controls and perform testing to identify root-cause issues and formulate improvement recommendations for senior management.
  • Assist with the development of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to effectively monitor changes to our risk profile.
  • Prepare presentations communicating overall risk profile, risks mitigated, and the potential impacts of unmitigated.
  • Build effective working relationships and trust with business partners across the organization.

What will you bring to Fluence?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance; Risk Management, Economics, Math, Engineering or related discipline.
  • CRISC, CIA, CFA, CISA or applicable certification preferred.
  • Understanding of risk frameworks (e.g., COSO, NIST, ISO, COBIT)
  • 5+ years of total experience, preferably with relevant work experience in similar risk management roles within high-growth organizations.
  • Risk Management, including Technology Risk Management, Fraud Risk Management, or Enterprise Risk Management experience is a plus. Experience proactively identifying risks and proposing solutions. 
  • Experience working in the industrial, power, oil & gas, or utility industry is preferred, renewable energy or energy storage experience a plus.
  • Experience in operational roles (sourcing, quality, commercial) are a plus.
  • Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with statistics, reporting, and analytical tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including listening, written and presentation skills, with the ability to be effective at all levels of management.
  • Must be a strong team player and self-starter.
