Holly Poultry is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Mechanic to join our operations team. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of production and facility equipment to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime in a fast-paced poultry processing environment.Job Summary:Holly Poultry is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Mechanic to join our operations team. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of production and facility equipment to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime in a fast-paced poultry processing environment.Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on processing equipment and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and minimize production disruptions.
- Inspect machinery and mechanical equipment to diagnose issues or detect irregularities.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders using the CMMS system.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and modifications to existing systems.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Communicate effectively with production personnel and other team members.
- Support plant sanitation efforts as needed.
- Ensure compliance with USDA, FDA, OSHA, and company safety and sanitation standards.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or trade certification a plus.
- Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in food or poultry processing.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair equipment.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, conveyors, pumps, and motors.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
- Basic computer skills for maintenance logs and inventory management.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs, work in cold/wet environments, and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to work occasional overtime or respond to emergencies.
