A Day in the Life

The Software Engineer will be responsible for the Definition and Implementation of Verification tests for embedded software application(s) in a regulated environment. This position works intensely with the Embedded Software Design engineers in a team environment to meet/exceed business and quality objectives.  

• Work independently in the development of test requirements, test design, test implementations, verification, and associated qualification activities.  
• Collaborate with the Design team in creating testable embedded software requirements definition
• Establish and maintain high quality (best-in-class) test procedures and methods to be used in present and future embedded software verification testing and development.  
• Actively participate in reviews and provide constructive feedback to the work of teammates. 
• Participate in the tasks involved in the formal verification of the embedded software for Neurostimulators. 
• Ensure personal understanding of all quality policy/system items that are personally applicable.  
• Follow all work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high quality work.  

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering or related field with 0 years of experience

Nice to Haves

• 1+ years of software development and/or test development experience. 
• 1+ years using C/C++/C#. 
• Experience working in simulation environments. 
• Experience in verification of medical devices 
• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$74,400.00 - $111,600.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply
