BODYARMOR is looking for a Merchandising Manager to join our team.

 

This role is part of BODYARMOR’s Merchandising department and reports directly to the Director of Commercial Execution and is responsible for supporting the Director with merchandise strategy, vendor relationships, and all costing negotiations. The role supports the merchandising team by overseeing the buying process, forecasting inventory demands and trends, and negotiating with suppliers. Responsible for building a long-term collaboration with vendors, suppliers, and cross functional partners, and will directly manage the Merchandising Associate.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Merchandising Management:

  • Forecasting, price setting, and negotiating quantities with vendors & suppliers.
  • Owns all merchandising functions including displays and design, inventory, merchandise/materials sourcing & customer programming:
  • Shopper Marketing Programs
  • Bottler toolkits
  • Wearables and Premiums
  • Work closely with Director of Commercial Execution to develop and execute merchandising strategies
  • Ensuring product selection is aligned with programming and commercial needs
  • Assist with all online merchandise orders (Digital Wearables Catalog, Sideline Shop, Super Shop, Dealer Loader Shop) 
  • Analyze product performance & sell through tracking on monthly/trimester basis
  • Develop and ensure compliance to budget for all trimester orders, incentives and merchandising options
  • Manage multiple projects, monitor, and allocate appropriate support to various short and long-term projects. 
  • Oversee and supervise everyday operations and monitor progress of each ongoing project
  • Readily adjust schedule tasks, and priorities when necessary to meet business needs. 
  • Develop, lead, and execute strategies for sourcing and supplier management to optimize promotional structure, pricing, and inventory guidelines
  • Identify opportunities to improve key performance indicators as defined by Senior Management & Commercial teams. 
  • Maintain strong business relationships with all vendors. Leverage vendor resources to assist with category management decisions and execution
  • Support the team to manage company shipments and their movements; by tracking UPS & freight shipments. Troubleshoot any delays as shipment moves through to delivery.

 
Cross-functional leadership: 

  • Partner with the Commercial Program Manager, Creative, Commercial Operations and Commercial Directors to ensure launches, promotional programming etc. are actioned seamlessly
  • Build effective partnerships with cross functional partners in Field team and commercial directors.
  • Work directly with Commercial managers and commercial operations to assist in any rack/display/program initiatives that are looking to execute. 
  • Strategizes with vendors to implement category performance improvement strategies, evaluates project performance ongoing.
  • Assist and support the Merchandising & Commercial Operations directors with Month Close & departmental budget.
  • Work with commercial teams to identify and strategize specific product or programing needs to including promotional needs to manage product life cycle and financial goals.

Vendor Management:

  • Have an effective working relationship and fluid communication with current vendors and future coke vendors
  • Manage vendor relationships with suppliers to maximize value from our vendor partnerships
  • Assist in negotiating long-term & short- term pricing, lead times, and other details of purchase
  • Support cost targets and pricing structures with recommendations to vendors/team
  • Support strategic direction for the bottler commercial team to support program management
