Details of Research Project: We endeavor to elucidate the mechanisms underpinning food addiction within the brain's reward pathways, particularly in the context of obesity. 

Technical Duties: (include any protocols) Western blot, stereotaxic surgeries, animal handling, animal behavior, molecular biology techniques and single-cell sequencing analysis.

Educational and other Requirements for the position: PhD

Experience Required: Proficiency in the field of obesity, as well as expertise in neuroscience methodologies and animal behavior studies. 

Goals/Outcomes of the Research Project: To employ single cell-sequencing methodology in elucidating the cellular constituents implicated in food addiction processes within the brain.

 

Compensation Statement

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $73,588.00 - $80,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
