Summary
Works closely with the Vice President of Government Relations in driving company’s approach involving matters of federal, state, and local regulations. Interprets and addresses global regulatory changes and strategizes appropriate organizational modifications based on regulations. Assists in the research of new regulations to comprehend and communicate possible outcomes to senior executives. Assists in developing and maintaining relations with public officials and their staff. Helps manage relationships with the Company’s external lobbying firms at the state and federal levels.
Your role in our mission
- Assists VP of Government Relations in developing and maintaining effective relations with public officials and their staff to ensure the company's good standing. Helps manage the company's approach on complex political, social, and public policy issues at all levels of the government.
- Provides support to the VP of Government Relationships in the communication and interpretation of the company's positions on complex relevant political issues.
- Represents the company to elected officials and to members of regulatory agencies and other external organizations. Drives the company's interests with trade, industry, and professional organizations.
- Helps manage the development of relationships with the Company’s external lobbying firms, partnering with other constituencies within the Company, as appropriate. Ensures appropriate external lobbying firm coverage at the state and federal levels.
- Assists in the management of budget; ensures activities are managed according to the guidelines/constraints of resource allocations.
- Assists in ensuring all state and federal compliance is met for lobbying activities and political giving.
What we're looking for
- Master's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Seven to ten years of experience in government affairs or public relations
- Experience working with public issues and regulatory practices
- Experience working with company policies and positions on relevant public issues
- Experience working in a national organization of size, scope and complexity in a regional position
- Experience working with management implications of various forms of financial data
What you should expect in this role
- This is a remote opportunity with annual travel up to 20%.

The pay range for this position is $108,500.00 - $155,000.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
