Description

The Department of Computer Science at New York University invites applications for a Research Assistant position to support research on 3D reconstruction systems. The project focuses on building efficient systems for large-scale 3D scene reconstruction and related techniques.

The Research Assistant will work closely with the faculty supervisor on system design, implementation, and evaluation. Responsibilities may include developing software for 3D reconstruction pipelines, running experiments, analyzing performance bottlenecks, and assisting with research prototypes and publications.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the working hours for this position are 27 hours a week at $35 per hour. 

Qualifications

Candidates must have a B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science and should have strong programming skills and an interest in computer systems, graphics, or machine learning systems. Experience with C++, Python, PyTorch, CUDA, or related tools is strongly preferred. This position is intended for a motivated student seeking hands-on research experience in efficient and scalable 3D visual computing systems.
