Job Description:
At Regions, the Consumer Customer Outreach Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of operational activities within the Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) scope of work. The specialist will work closely with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) partners to perform customer profile reviews, to include mail, email and phone outreach to Regions customers.
Primary Responsibilities
- Performs direct customer outreach to gather required Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/Anti-Money Laundering (AML) documentation
- Executes customer outreach efforts including mail, email and phone calls
- Performs high quality customer service to Regions customers
- Ensures compliance with BSA/AML related laws and regulations and identifies matters of noncompliance and escalates them as necessary for resolution
- Conducts initial and periodic reviews when certain events occur that may raise the risk profile for certain customer relationships
- Completes customer enhanced due diligence as necessary
- Partners with BSA/AML EDD team to support the Bank’s BSA/AML Know Your Customer (KYC) policies
- Monitors EDD team inbox and responds in a timely manner
- May work on special projects as assigned
- May provide training and guidance to less experienced Specialists
This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Seven (7) years of experience in branch platform, BSA/AML, fraud, loss prevention or related field
Preferences
- Bachelor's degree
- Previous BSA/AML experience, preferably in EDD or Know Your Customer (KYC)/Customer Due Diligence (CDD)
- Bilingual, English/Spanish
Skills and Competencies
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) skills
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to deal with all levels of personnel in a courteous and efficient manner
- Ability to multi-task and set priorities
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment, as well as independently
- Ability to work under pressure on multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment with interruptions
- Detail oriented, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Experience with case management systems, databases, and similar automation
- Knowledgeable of branch processes, policies, and procedures
This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including three full days in the office and two remote days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense.
