Department Overview
Gas Operations is focused on ensuring the safe and reliable flow of natural gas to our customers. Gas Operations is responsible for all aspects of PG&E’s gas distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, restoration and emergency response.
Position Summary
Oversees the Quality Assurance T&D GC, Contractor and M&C Construction Field team which performs quality field assessments on field personnel while performing their duties on gas infrastructure. Oversees Subject Matter Experts who provide technical advice in the building of standards and procedures for gas operations.
• Flexible work location – open to all PG&E service territories. Must be able to travel to Bishop Ranch in San Ramon or OGO on a regular basis to attend meetings as well as travel to job site locations across service territory to meet with coworkers or attend period training or meetings.
This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $126,000.
Bay Area Maximum: $200,000.
Job Responsibilities
• Reports QA findings to leadership.
• Ensures accurate, consistent, and fair assessment practices.
• Helps drive work quality improvement within the field service organization.
• Oversees asset data Quality Review development, performance, and reporting.
• Provides tactical leadership and supervision of data quality protocols and projects in accordance with company-identified risks and strategic goals.
• Ensures all data verification work is conducted safely, efficiently and in accordance with company standards and procedures
• Sponsors team on quality assurance audits, providing guidance and support
• Recruits/selects, communicates expectations, fosters employee engagement, coaching, developing, mentoring, recognizes and rewards employees in order to drive performance and results. Manages Professional employees.
Qualifications
Minimum:
• High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma
• Job-related experience, 5 years
Desired:
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
• Leadership experience
• ASQ Quality Auditor Certification
• Working knowledge of Gas Operations and Gas Construction

• Technical Knowledge & Expertise:
• Working knowledge of gas field and records standards, work procedures, and policies.
