This position will work in all clinical service centers, family planning, STD, TB, immunizations, and HIV clinic. This includes gathering health histories, obtaining vital signs, giving injections and other medications, interviewing clients, utilizing nursing protocols when applicable, conduct blood draws, and documenting as appropriate in the electronic health record.
- Maintains HIV Pre/Post-Test Counseling Certification
This position serves as the lead Registered Nurse in the Ryan White program and is responsible for the provision of nursing and medical case management services for all clients enrolled in the Ryan White program. Under the direction of the Executive Community Health Nursing Director, and in conjunction with the Ryan White Program Manager, this position works to ensure all clients enrolled in the Ryan White program are seen twice yearly and receive clinical services in accordance with the HIV/AIDS clinical care guidelines. This position also is responsible for ensuring nurse case management activities, including lab orders, medication changes, etc. are fully documented in the appropriate system. This position also shares responsibility with the HIV Program manager to assure that clinic schedules for the contracted providers are appropriately managed to maximize and make the best use of the contracted provider’s time while at DOH-St. Johns.
Assists in conducting county – wide investigations, surveillance, and follow-up of persons diagnosed with a reportable communicable disease. These duties may include, but are not limited to, home visits, doctor’s office, and hospital visits. Responsible for ensuring follow-up of all reports.
Ensures the integrity/confidentiality of all data sets in the program; complies with the information security protocols and Procedures (DOHP 50-10-16); security and privacy of client information is maintained; disclosure of confidential information is released only after proper authorization has been obtained; and information that is exempt from public record disclosure is maintained in a confidential manner.

Qualifications:
Licensure/registration/certification requirements (If applicable, list the appropriate Florida Statute or federal regulation cite): Licensure as Registered Nurse 464 F.S, Valid Florida Driver’s License
