Stock Controller

Night shifts Monday to Friday or Sunday to Thursday working 20:30 – 06:00

Stock Controller opportunity for someone who is keen to learn and develop their warehouse stock knowledge at our Brakes Depot in Reading. You will be working across multiple departments, both in the warehouse and in the office to support achieving business targets.
You’ll be responsible for making sure that full stock counts in the warehouse is completed daily capturing information accurately onto Microsoft excel spreadsheets and our inhouse SAP system to produce reports. As Stock Controller you will work closely with the wider teams across the Depot to ensure that we avoid any shortages of goods to our customers. We will rely upon you to investigate discrepancies into major stock variances as part of quality control and waste management. This is a busy role, and no 2 days will be the same!
We seek Stock Controllers who are MHE trained, but don't worry if you aren't, as training can be provided. Confidence with heights is essential, as the role involves operating a scissor lift up to 30 meters. Computer literacy is vital for tasks involving spreadsheets and data capture for KPI reporting. Familiarity with SAP and Microsoft Excel is advantageous. Strong attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and adaptability to new systems are key. A reliable and flexible "Can do" attitude is a must.
