Atlantic Medical Imaging is seeking a Per Diem Technical Aide to assist the CT department in the AMI office locations in Atlantic County.  This position is a great opportunity for candidates who are interested in starting their healthcare career!

AMI offers the 401K retirement benefit to Per Diem employees.  Offered rates increase based on years of work experience.

The Technical Aide is responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Prepares charts and registers patients;
  • Takes patient history and processes paperwork;
  • Monitors the patient in the clinical area when the technologist is elsewhere;
  • Assists the technologist with patient care;
  • Greeting patients and escorting patients to the changing area, providing gown instructions;
  • Safely enters and completes work responsibilities within the MRI area;
  • Assists patients with wheelchairs and dressing as needed; and
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

This position will provide coverage in the AMI offices in Egg Harbor Township, Galloway, Hammonton, and Somers Point.  Candidates must be willing to travel to these office locations.

The work schedule includes Monday-Thursday, 4p-8pm.

Schedules are subject to change based on business needs.

 

Qualifications

Candidates for this position must be a High School Graduate or equivalent; some college coursework a plus.  American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required and candidates must be willing to obtain within the first thirty (30) days of employment.  Candidates must be willing and able to work around MRI and CT equipment.

The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent organizational skills, has well developed customer service skills and maintains patient privacy at all times.  Candidates must maintain attention to detail in all aspects of their work at all times and must be skilled in utilizing standard office equipment, including computers.  Previous radiology practice experience a plus! Candidates should be flexible to work varying shift times and travel to other office locations if needed.
