Job Summary
As the VP, Organizational Effectiveness & Change Management (IT), you will be a key driver of enterprise-wide transformation efforts. In this role you will set the vision, strategy, and execution for change management and organizational effectiveness initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and global growth objectives. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer and as a member of the CIO leadership team, you will partner with senior executives to influence transformational change and deliver measurable business outcomes.
You will lead a small team of change professionals and collaborate to ensure successful adoption of new processes, technologies, and structures that support competitive advantage in the global marketplace.
Key partnerships include HR, Growth & Strategy.
This position will be based onsite at Vertiv's Westerville, OH - HQ office location.
Responsibilities:
- Design and lead an org effectiveness framework to support the CIO organization including but not limited to:
- Communications strategy
- Leadership alignment (vision, teaming)
- Org design and alignment (defined operating model, teaming)
- Partner with HR around employee experience initiatives (leadership development, engagement surveys, talent management including succession planning, other)
- Chief of Staff responsibilities to be further defined, working in a trusted advisor capacity to the CIO
- Design, launch and lead a Change Management Center of Expertise (CoE) to build capability across the organization to drive the adoption of new technologies and transformation initiatives
- Develop framework, tools and ways of working
- Intersect with portfolio management lead to manage intake and value realization of change management efforts
- Oversee the establishment of metrics and reporting systems to monitor the effectiveness of change initiatives, evaluate progress, and adapt strategies as needed to achieve desired results.
- Create methodologies to help both functional teams and business units build change capability that can effectively enable adoption and transformation in each respective region and area
- Develop KPIS and value-based measurements to communicate and highlight the impact and improvements our change activities and strategies are enabling
- Provide strategic, advisory and employee engagement support to the Office of the CIO
- Work across and deep into the IT global organization, helping all levels of leadership deliver and ensure connection with the IT, Digital and Transformation vision
- Act as a steward for change across the IT organization, focusing on behaviors, accountabilities, roles and responsibilities, and challenging our talent matrix to ensure the right roles and people are in-place
- Establish groups within IT to help identify areas of opportunity for leadership to focus and lean into to help drive improved performance and engagement
- Provide a communication and marketing strategy to help connect the broader digital and IT team to the vision and provide direct support for all communication efforts in support of the transformation efforts.
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field
- Proven ability to lead large-scale, complex, global transformation initiatives in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
- Extensive experience (15+ years) in organizational effectiveness, change management, or transformation leadership roles with significant responsibility for enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Consulting background working with a variety of clients and transformation initiatives desired.
- Deep expertise in designing and implementing change strategies that deliver measurable business outcomes and align with organizational goals.
- Advanced understanding of change management methodologies such as Prosci ADKAR, as well as process improvement frameworks like LEAN/Six Sigma and Agile.
- Strong ability to collaborate with executive leadership, influence decision-making, and foster alignment across diverse teams and geographies.
- Demonstrated success in managing and mentoring high-performing teams, building organizational capability, and fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, inspire collaboration, and navigate cultural and geographic diversity.
- Experience in data-driven decision-making and leveraging analytics to guide strategy and measure success.
