We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to lead the design of high-impact, cross-functional initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complexity, loves solving tough user experience challenges, and can drive clarity and craft at every step of the product development process. You’ll be responsible for shaping product vision, setting design strategy, and delivering polished, thoughtful experiences that delight our customers and elevate the product as a whole. This is a hybrid role that requires 3 days/week in our Boston office. Fully remote candidates will not be considered at this time. 

How You’ll Make a Difference

• Lead design strategy: Define the user experience vision across a product area, aligning design efforts with business objectives and product strategy.
• Own end-to-end experiences: Drive the design process from discovery to delivery—leveraging research, prototyping, and iteration to arrive at world-class solutions.
• Drive execution: Partner closely with engineering and product to build, test, and ship high-quality features at scale.
• Champion the customer: We can’t design great experiences without deeply understanding our users. Senior Product Designers at Klaviyo invest significant time interacting with customers to develop strong user empathy and uncover unmet needs.
• Communicate effectively: Bring clarity to complex problems through compelling storytelling, visuals, and written documentation. At Klaviyo, great communication is a core expectation, not a bonus.
• Mentor and lead: Senior Product Designers raise the bar for quality across the team. You’ll mentor junior designers, shape team norms, and help evolve how we work as a design organization.
• Deliver business outcomes: You approach problems with a product mindset—solving for both user value and business impact. You care not just about shipping, but about measurable results.
• Think deeply, design decisively: You dig into the “why” behind problems, consider multiple angles, and craft elegant solutions that scale. You bring rigor to the process and humility to your work.
• Influence beyond your domain: Work across teams to ensure cohesive experiences and consistent design patterns across the Klaviyo platform.

What You’ll Do

• Own design for a major product area, collaborating with PMs, engineers, and other stakeholders to define and deliver key features
• Translate complex workflows into simple, elegant interfaces that help customers achieve their goals with confidence
• Create and maintain user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity visuals, prototypes, and documentation that guide implementation
• Validate design decisions through user research, usability testing, and analytics
• Collaborate with and contribute to Klaviyo’s design system and visual language
• Present your work to cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders with clarity and confidence
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve product usability, accessibility, and cohesion
• Partner with content designers, researchers, and data scientists to enhance the overall experience

Who You Are

• 8+ years of experience designing software products, with at least 5 years in a dedicated product design role
• Experience leading end-to-end design efforts for complex B2B or SaaS products
• Strong visual and interaction design skills, with a modern aesthetic and attention to craft
