Summary of Position: The Senior Medical Director of Primary and Value-Based Care at DocGo is a critical national leadership role, responsible for shaping and executing the strategic vision for primary care and value-driven healthcare services. This position requires an experienced and visionary leader with a deep understanding of value-based care models and their intersection with population health strategies to enhance patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and fiscal responsibility. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving innovation, fostering excellence in primary care, and advancing DocGo’s mission to transform healthcare delivery on a national scale.
This is not a remote or hybrid position. You will need to work at DocGo HQ and clinically see patients. Experience with Athenahealth is a plus but not a requirement. Travel will be required but periodic throughout the year.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement DocGo’s comprehensive strategic plan for primary and value-based care services.
Align organizational goals with national priorities to improve the quality, accessibility, and efficiency of primary care services.
Identify and lead initiatives to integrate population health strategies into value-based care delivery models.
Clinical Oversight:
Provide expert clinical leadership to the primary care team, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices and clinical excellence.
Conduct regular assessments of clinical performance metrics across multiple states and implement interventions to achieve and exceed national benchmarks.
Oversee and support Advanced Practice Providers with clinical guidance and administrative leadership.
Collaborate with care teams to identify and address social determinants of health (SDOH) impacting patient outcomes.
