Summary of Position: The Senior Medical Director of Primary and Value-Based Care at DocGo is a critical national leadership role, responsible for shaping and executing the strategic vision for primary care and value-driven healthcare services. This position requires an experienced and visionary leader with a deep understanding of value-based care models and their intersection with population health strategies to enhance patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and fiscal responsibility. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving innovation, fostering excellence in primary care, and advancing DocGo’s mission to transform healthcare delivery on a national scale. 

This is not a remote or hybrid position. You will need to work at DocGo HQ and clinically see patients. Experience with Athenahealth is a plus but not a requirement. Travel will be required but periodic throughout the year. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

Strategic Leadership:  

• Develop and implement DocGo’s comprehensive strategic plan for primary and value-based care services.  

• Align organizational goals with national priorities to improve the quality, accessibility, and efficiency of primary care services.  

• Identify and lead initiatives to integrate population health strategies into value-based care delivery models. 

Clinical Oversight:  

• Provide expert clinical leadership to the primary care team, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices and clinical excellence.  

• Conduct regular assessments of clinical performance metrics across multiple states and implement interventions to achieve and exceed national benchmarks.  

• Oversee and support Advanced Practice Providers with clinical guidance and administrative leadership.  

• Collaborate with care teams to identify and address social determinants of health (SDOH) impacting patient outcomes.
