Position Summary:

The Supervisor of Warehouse and Distribution (W&D) leads and motivates the team to meet the established goals and standards. The Supervisor W&D is responsible for ensuring Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) are in effect, assuring the quality and quantity of products.  

 

Hours/Schedule:

  • 2nd Shift - 3pm to 11:30pm (Monday through Friday) with some flexibility for coverage and occasional Saturday work

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Motivates and guides the team to meet all daily targets including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Objectives, Goals, Strategies, and Measures (OGSMs)
  • Drives a Safety Culture which values associates who are engaged with the Safety Program and ensures all appropriate safety training is completed
  • Maintains inventory accuracy by ensuring that associates are adequately trained in all aspects of their job function which could impact inventory accuracy such as RF replenishment techniques, the accurate accounting of items picked and staged on palettes, and the safe operation of equipment in a high velocity work environment
  • Coaches and develop associates by performing regular evaluations of associates through the accumulation of events in an individual's coaching diary
  • Uses Root Cause Analysis to investigate operational errors and recommends corrective action where needed for a positive result
  • Motivates associates in maintaining quality and efficiency throughout the department Ensures that all paperwork is properly documented
  • Personal responsibility for following all SOPs, cGMPs, safety requirements and procedures Performs other duties as assigned
  • Be solution oriented and routinely make recommendations for continuous improvement within the site
  • Appropriately communicate with, follow up with, and support associates in a timely manner
  • Ability to leverage the various systems in the facility to generate reports, understand trends and potential roadblocks, interpret any corrective measures needed and execute plans to achieve desired outcome
  • Monitor hourly/daily reporting and escalate concerns when needed
  • Follow all established facility safety and security standards; set the example for, coach, and hold hourly associates accountable
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment; ensure all equipment is in working order and that associates have the tools they need to be effective
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned

 

Experience and Education Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree required, associate degree preferred.  Military experience can be used in lieu of Education
  • 2+ years of experience in a Lead or Supervisory Role within a warehouse/distribution environment required
  • Familiarity in Warehousing Inventory Control procedures, concepts and management systems
  • Self-starter with integrity and confidence who strives to achieve even the most challenging objectives with limited supervision
  • Experience with cycle counting, shipping & receiving and knowledge of DOT regulations 
  • Experience with various Material Handling
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Suite programs
  • Previous experience or proficiency in SAP and various other
