UX Designer

 

Location: In the United States (East Coast) or similar time zone.

At Bentley Systems, we deliver solutions for complex engineering projects. Our users are the ones designing, building, and operating the world’s infrastructure across different industries. It requires us to know their needs very well, and this is where UX Design plays its critical role.

 

As a member of the Bentley Infrastructure Cloud UX team, you will use your knowledge and expertise to drive usability improvements for the whole lifecycle of infrastructure assets. You will collaborate with Product Managers, Software Engineers, fellow UX Designers, subject matter experts, and of course, users to deliver highly impactful, integrated, yet modular cloud-based solutions that help millions of engineering roles and infrastructure owners/operators all over the world.

 

In your role you will:

• Communicate with both internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements and manage the scope in a fast-paced collaborative environment
• Contribute to the user research
• Translate user research findings into insights and design improvements
• Ensure that designs are consistent with our design system and contribute the designs to the design system

• This role requires minimal travel.

• Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements).

 

 

We expect you to have:

• 3-5 years of experience in the related field.
• A professional portfolio displaying skills, with particular emphasis on problem-solving
• Great command of Figma
• Proficiency in rapid and high-fidelity prototyping
• Visual design skills and an eye for detail
• Fluency in both written and spoken English
   

 

Additional points for:

• Familiarity with the design guidelines for SaaS/Cloud software
• Familiarity with accessibility guidelines and best practices when designing for SaaS
• Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Computer Science, User Experience, or related field
• Familiarity with infrastructure field
• Prior exposure to B2B enterprise software
