Position Summary: 

  • Under the supervision of the Count Team Supervisor, conduct the removal (drop) of company funds from slot machines and the removal or fill of company funds for kiosk, and RBG machines, and other gaming devices on the gaming floor. Count, record and reconcile the contents of all table games, poker games, slot currency acceptor boxes, RBG, and kiosk drop funds within the Minimum Internal Control Standards and Departmental Standard Operating Procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct the drop of the bill validator drop boxes and the kiosk machines and any other gaming devices. (e.g., removal and replacement of slot machine bill validator boxes, etc.).
  • Open, empty, and close all drop boxes or cassettes according to procedures.
  • Sort and prepare funds for the count process.
  • Operate mechanical counting equipment utilized for the count.
  • Count and rack chips manually.
  • Strap and bundle money according to specific denominations.
  • Prepare various reports required for the drop/count process.
  • Maintain accurate counts, reconciliation, and documentation of all drop proceeds.
  • Maintain the upkeep and neatness of the count room and report to Count Team Supervisor any needed repair or maintenance to equipment.
  • Monitor kiosk reporting system; conduct kiosk cassette fills and BV exchanges; and conduct preventative maintenance on Kiosk machines.
  • Investigate and determine the outcome of guest disputes, service issues, cash discrepancies with kiosk and cigarette vending machines.
  • Conduct monthly drop and audit of cigarette machines.
  • Conduct monthly RBG count and drop.
  • Shred cash-out tickets.
  • Clean and sterilize gaming chips.
  • Conduct poker and table game count.
  • Perform emergency drops outside the normal drop hours.
  • Safely operate the motorized carts.
  • Comply with the gaming ordinance, gaming regulations, internal controls, SECR safety and security procedures, departmental and SECR policies and procedures.
  • Work in an efficient and accurate manner while processing drops, counts, and performing other duties as assigned.
  • Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations at all times. Provide solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as our top priority.
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality and present a positive, professional demeanor and image at all times.

Contacts/Purpose of Contacts: 

  • Contact with management and associates within the department, other departments within the casino, outside maintenance or service technicians, and the general public. The purpose for this contact includes communication and maintaining high internal and external guest service levels, and maintaining operations of the count rooms

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license to meet the employment eligibility requirements as they pertain to the position.

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Six months cash handling experience.
  • Gaming, banking, or customer service experience.

License, Certification, or Special Requirements: 

  • Native American preference shall apply to all positions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Knowledge of computers, gaming devices, and safety equipment.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting, math, and record-keeping practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation, and basic arithmetic.
  • Knowledge of casino software programs and equipment related to counting team operations.
  • Skill in ensuring the cleanliness of the count room.
  • Skill in accurately recording numbers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to complete and pass Title 31 training and assessment.
