How will you make a difference?
The Maintenance Materials and Inventory Specialist (MMI Specialist) will be responsible for handling the billing for all contractors, all plant consumable inventory, and oversee on-site tool crib inventory. MMI Specialist will also be responsible for reordering all inventory before need by time and maintaining the maintenance and tooling budget.
What do we want to know about you?
- High School Diploma / GED
- A minimum of 4 years of inventory management experience
- A minimum of 4 years of purchasing experience
- Computer skills Windows, MS Office Suite
- Effective Communication skills
PREFERRED:
- Associate degree or specialized training in supply chain or inventory management
- Proficient using (Oracle, Coupa, Maximo)
- 10 years of purchasing or inventory management
- Ability to maintain a budget and maintain a well stock inventory
- Ability to negotiate with vendors to reduce operational costs
- Project / Program management experience
- Ability to work with all levels and across all functional areas in the organization
- Strong interpersonal skills
What will your typical day look like?
- Manage Maintenance crib inventory (ensuring all inventory is checked out and checked in)
- Manage Production tool crib inventory (ensure onsite vendor for tool crib is managing inventory correctly)
- Manage all Chemical used for parts washing
- Manage all Blast media for parts cleaning
- Process all tool crib Maximo orders
- Manage all production related consumable materials to ensure production always has what they need
- Source products from multiple vendors to get the best price
- Work with sourcing team on any vendor issues that pertains to contractors or vendors
- Work with buyers to resolve any price or ordering issues
- Plan and forecast ordering to hit maintenance and tooling budget spend
- Inventory and purchasing management using software (Oracle, Coupa, Maximo)
- Create and use excel spreadsheets
- Place all Pos for multiple functions of the manufacturing facility
- Manage hundreds of POs from multiple vendors
- This role requires overtime. The average overtime expected will be +/- 10 hours weekly.
What about the physical demands of the job?
- Exposure to shop floor requires wearing PPE.
- Walking, climbing, stooping, bending, lifting is all part of the hands-on learning process.
You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.
