Job Description:
Crowe’s dynamic and entrepreneurial Federal Tax Consulting Services practice incorporates cutting edge technology into an innovative team-based approach to deliver specialized federal tax consulting to clients primarily in the up-market environment. The group is currently searching for a manager to lead cost segregation studies.
Role and Responsibilities
This role will lead engagements providing cost segregation studies for taxpayers making large real estate related capital expenditures, such as the construction of new facilities, and/or purchase of existing facilities.
This experienced individual will:
Exhibit proven leadership and project management skills in managing client service teams and multiple projects in a fast-paced and interactive team environment to meet and exceed client expectations.
Have a strong understanding of building construction principles
Possess strong analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and decision making skills
Possess strong data management skills, including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
Show the ability to mentor and develop staff and seniors, including on the job technical training and coaching
Exhibit exceptional client service and communication skills with a proven ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
Personal drive to develop self/others and provide leadership insight to the existing leadership team
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, architecture, or engineering
At least 2 years of experience in public accounting; strong preference for Big 4, national, or large regional firm experience
Experience in cost segregation required
Strong understanding of building construction principles
Significant experience in cost estimating and proficiency in estimating resources such as RS Means and Marshall Valuation
Strong understanding of tax principles related to depreciation and capitalization

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
