Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Lead Software Engineer II to join our dynamic and growing organization. The Lead Engineer will oversee our software teams, provide technical direction and guidance for development projects. The Lead Engineer will ensure that all projects meet the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker to provide innovative solutions to complex development challenges.
Job Responsibility
- Lead and manage a team of software engineers and various scrum teams. Note, this is not a human resources management role. It is a technical and team leadership role.
- Provides technical and project direction, guidance for multiple development projects.
- Complete ownership, design, architecture, and development and delivery of features.
- Oversee technical and project plans, timelines, ensuring projects are completed on time and on budget.
- Act as Scrum Master for at least two scrum teams.
- Work closely with other departments, such as product management, TPMs, Data, and Operations, to ensure all technical requirements are met and delivered.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to ensure quality standards are met.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies, processes, and tools to enhance development capabilities.
- Analyze customer requirements and develop technical solutions to meet customer needs.
- Develop and document technical processes and procedures.

Education Required
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
Experience Required
- 8+ years of experience in software development and technical and team leadership.
- Leadership experience leading multiple software teams and full SDLC ownership.
- Demonstrated experience in Java, AWS, DevOps practices etc.
- Demonstrated experience in owning and driving design documents to conclusion.
- Experience in driving new technology initiatives to phase out legacy infrastructure and applications.
- Experience leading fast-paced teams with ownership of end to end to delivery.
- Demonstrated knowledge of software development methodologies and techniques.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
Knowledge Required
Excellent written and verbal communications skills; adaptability and flexibility to a changing environment; and comfortable working in a dynamic, high volume, fast-paced environment. Ability to understand and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws governing our industry/business and products.
