The Department of Economic Security, Division of Aging and Adult Services, seeks an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Deputy Business Administrator with the Finance and Business Operation Administration. DAAS supports at-risk Arizonans to meet their basic needs and to live safely, with dignity and independence. Services and programs reach a diverse population of Arizonans.
The Division of Aging and Adult Services (DAAS) Deputy Business Administrator works under the Division's Business Administrator to provide high-level leadership and direction to execute financial, operational, and strategic initiatives for the Division. This position is responsible for directing the operations, logistics, and strategic initiatives of multiple teams. These teams' areas of focus are budget and fund accounting, operations forecasting and planning, and facilities management.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Job Duties:Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Assist with oversight & management of Division's accounting, finance, data analytics, information and reporting; A/P; purchasing & facilities.
• Work closely with Fiscal/Finance Manager to analyze performance of procurement activities against various procurement indicators.
• Plan, organize and assign work, establish priorities, & assure realistic completion schedules are developed, documented & communicated to all stakeholders.
• Coach and mentor staff towards a continuous improvement culture that fosters daily improvement involving all team members.
• Assist with recognizing, managing, and mitigating risk; monitor any open legal issues involving the Division that affect the delivery of services, construct and monitor reliable control systems.

• Principles, concepts, practices, methods and techniques of government and financial accounting
