Base Pay Range: $80,161 - $138,468
The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
Position Summary
The Connectivity Applications Engineer provides commercial and technical support for Banner Connectivity products. They collaborate with the outside sales teams to create custom solutions or specify standard products with our customers. Be a part of a cohesive team of experts striving to grow relationships with our customers in a fast-paced environment. This will be a fully onsite position at our Plymouth, MN HQ campus.
This position reports to the Manger of Program Management.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing technical consultation and product support service to Banner Area Sales Managers, Representatives, Strategic Account Managers, distributors, and customers
- Supporting the sales regions with tasks such as technical data, price and availability
- Managing multiple priorities including incoming phone calls, emails, chats and responding to direct sales team member communications
- Collaborating with Engineering staff to develop technical modifications to existing products to meet unique application requirements
- Providing cross reference solutions to competitive products
- Supporting proof-of-concept builds and pre-sales technical evaluations in collaboration with the sales team
- Assisting with product training for internal and external audiences, both in-person and remotely
- Providing timely follow-up as needed to Banner Area Sales Managers, Field Sales Representatives, distributors, and customers

Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics
Preferred
- 2-4 years of experience in technical assistance, product service, sales, or related field
- Comfortable with basic assembly / manufacturing support for custom solutions or prototyping as needed
- Willingness to research competitive product or design standards for products
- Experience delivering product training
- Experience working within an industrial automation environment
- Technical knowledge of connectivity products
- Customer support experience
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to travel domestically to attend trade shows or visit customer locations as needed
- Strong desire to understand how things work
